Helen had a rough day yesterday and didn't get to sleep until late. She just wanted me to hold her and would grab my neck in a death grip if I tried to put her down. Got my tooth prepped for a crown this morning. It was more involved than I thought it would be. I do have a couple of other crowns from years ago, but they were prepped as I was getting the filling or root canal done, so I guess I didn't remember what was involved. Helen had been sick and clingy since Tuesday. I went to the dentist today, had to get a tooth pulled way in the back. :-( It couldn't be saved. I was fine earlier but now the Novocain is wearing off and it hurts. I just popped four Advil. I just got back from the dentist. This is my third visit. They've had to my permanent crown back twice because it wasn't a perfect match. It's on a front tooth which makes it worse. No root canal needed, just a huge filling and a jacked-up looking temporary crown. Real one goes in on Aug. 12th. I've got three weeks with this obviously fake front tooth that's about two shades lighter than my other teeth.  It looks like a Chiclet. Glamorous ( Read more... )

I'm a little lot worried about my dental appointment tomorrow. At any rate, in 24 hours, it will be done, and I will survive.

It should only be a filling but might end up a root canal if the damage is too bad. But it doesn't hurt so that's a good sign. Had I been going to the dentist like I should have, I wouldn't have to be getting all this work ( Read more... )
