I saw Albert Camus and Philip Roth on the course description...'nuff said.

Native American History
I need a more comprehensive understanding than "they were screwed, but got fireworks and casinos."

Latin American History

I used to go to camp there, so I have a few connections. And my mom put in a good word for me.

Oh, and just to clarify (in case you're not familiar with the Seattle area)...it's the San Juan Islands out in Puget Sound (up north from Seattle, close to Canada) and not the ones down in Puerto Rico. But either way, both would be awesome.

Amen to that. Exactly why I picked history. Plus you spend most of your time reading/hearing interesting stories, and the rest of it arguing about them. =D

I just browsed through your journal and noticed you're an Art History major. I tried some art appreciation on my own, but when I got to Monet and Manet, it seemed too complicated. Have you taken African Art? It sounds pretty interesting.
