I was just thinking about pre-Christian/post-Christian morality and how I'm carrying a baggage of mixed cultural costumes. It being the Easter holiday and all.
I more or less get what you mean. But my question is that why is there even a need for ignorance with regard to justice in a friendship? My point is that, in contemplating the necessity of ignorance (or not) with respect to the "justness" of a friendship, we have not pushed the issue far back enough; all true/real friendships are and ought to be necessarily just without question and, hence, to ask if there is a time for ignorance is simply a categorical error.
my point is that the veracity of the justness of friendships is besides the point of friendship. there is no such thing as a categorical yay or nay concerning what friendship essentially "is". what do you mean when you say "all true/real friendships are and ought to be necessarily just?" In the absence of complete knowledge concerning whether a friendship is just or not, one is simply left with the choice to either believe or disbelieve in the justness of friendship. And this is an act of faith
