I've only really watched Heroes on Hi-Def, so I have nothing to compare it too. Does it look amazing in Hi-def. YES! But I can't honestly say it doesn't look amazing in reg. def either.

Honest opinion. The special effects were really well done, spectacular television quality special effects. I would say buy on regular. Or wait. My sis is getting me the heroes box set on dvd so we can watch a few and you can decide. Either or.
