Wow! Everything about this is shear perfection. I just...I don't even know. I have no words - just tears ;_; You filled the prompt so flawlessly, I felt the urge to instantly erase the fic I've been working on for 2 weeks now to go along with this very prompt...how do I continue writing something that I view as utter crap now? GUH /facepalms

From the beginning to end, I read completely enraptured. Klaus and his snide little appearances/comments...from always being at the back of Elijah's mind to the quip about him never being able to tell them apart *heart on floor shattered*

He’s been daggered far too many times to be able to tell the difference between dying and sleeping.

He remembers Klaus, remembers that look in his eyes as he stabs him in the chest-Not in the back, his brother is quick to defend himself. Never your back-remembers Klaus’ hand like a reassuring promise on the side of his face, closing his eyes to the sound of him shushing him like a lullaby.
