Rather than learn to write poetry the old-fashioned way, with rhythm and metre and things, I thought I'd just use javascript timing and dynamic web pages. Here is the result, which may only work in Firefox.

I was thinking of making it long enough to establish rapport with the reader's heartbeat, and then drive it up by increasing speed. But that would stop them reading the words near the end, which apart from being a triumph of style over content, might make me liable for their heart attacks.

Though I recall The Goodies didn't get into trouble about that viewer who died laughing at them, so maybe it would be OK.
