The real issue is that they anticipate as much as 20 inches and they expect significant power outages. If we got 2 inches of snow here, it would be a snopocalypse, just like 115 degree temperature up there would be the end of the world as you know it. The big issue is getting atypical weather for your area.

True. But I always think it's funny when an inch of snow shuts a city down (like Seattle last winter) and causes accidents (well, I don't find the accidents funny). Driving in snow, as much as I hate it, is second nature to me.
