The day after. National Take-back day is in full swing. All the x-mas stuff is coming down. The tree is already down and all the rest of the x-mas decorations inside are being put up as well. They are probably going to get me to take down the decorations put up all over the outside of the house. Great. Seems like whenever I come back here, they have me doing some kind of manual labor. I know it may be my "duty" do to things like this, but it is still a pain. Last year I helped to put together a home entertainment center thing. (the wood frame that holds the TV, VCR, DVD and all that). And this year, I hope there is nothing that extravagant, so I guess I should be lucky with that. Then again, if things had gone according to plan and they had moved a few months ago, I would probably be helping them fine-tune the things in their new place.
Strange thing though. It is actually warm outside today. Well, not warm as it shorts weather, but warm enough to open the windows of the house if so desired. Very different from last night when it was sleeting. And mom is still wanting to keep her scented candle burning. I think her sense of smell is going as she thinks it smells like cookies and to me and step-dad it smells like vanilla. Oh well. Leftover turkey for lunch while smelling the strong sent of vanilla was...interesting.
Still haven't heard from J. She hasn't been coming on-line a lot recently. I wonder if I am just noticing it more now that I am wanting to get in touch with her now. Tried calling too and nothing. I'll try later. Off to help with the x-mas stuff.
