How To Make A GIF
HOW TO MAKE A GIF
WITH ~GURU JERICA.
There are actually quite a lot of ways to make a GIF,but I'll show you how I make mine with VLC media player and Photoshop.
YOU WILL NEED VLC MEDIA PLAYER
AND WHICHEVER PHOTOSHOP THAT HAS THE "ANIMATION" FUNCTION UNDER THE "WINDOWS" TAB.
(mine is Photoshop CS5)

ok,now that you have both of that ,open the VLC media player
go to tools>preferences>hotkeys,then look for "take video snapshot" and set it to your desired alphabet.make sure it's only one key and it's not taken by any other functions.in my case,I set mine as "s"
set and save.

now go to video>browse and set where you want the screencaps to be saved at.

now you're ready to take snapshots!
open your video with VLC media player or just drag it in to the player,then find the scene that you want to gif and press on your screencap hotkey,don't let go until you decide you want it to stop there.make sure you don't press on for too long if you want your gif to be tumblr-friendly (aka below 500kb),but it's ok for now you just take snapshots and we can delete the extras the next step.

the folder you set to be your screencaps destination will look like this.
you can delete any unwanted caps here.

OPEN PHOTOSHOP,GO TO FILE > SCRIPTS > LOAD FILE INTO ONE STACK

now,go to windows>animation

and if your animation windows says "animation timeline" make sure you change it to animation frames" like below.

after that,you click on the little arrow wayyy at the side and click "make frames from layers"

and then you click on the little pointy arrow again and click "select all frames"
REMEMBER TO "REVERSE FRAMES" IF YOU ARE USING THE "LOAD FILES IN ONE STACK" WAY.WELL,JUST REVERSE IT IF IT'S REVERSED,DON'T IF IT'S NOT.

press play to see if it works and run smoothly.
after that you can change to your desired image size

now go to file>save for web and devices

then it brings you to a pop out window

click save!
yayyyyy.now upload it to tumblr or any image host website and see if it works!
