on thursday two weeks ago, a surgeon removed a massive ball of cancer from inside me. it had eaten my right kidney, and was headed for the artery going into my heart. there were some complications beforehand, i was admitted for a pre-op procedure on friday and was supposed to have surgery on monday, but it had to be postponed since my blood was ( Read more... )

haha!! and "yes, indeedy." so glad i had some symptoms...they only lasted for two days and acted like gall stones, but it led to me getting checked out. w00t!

i DID get to see it, but not to keep it. the surgeon took a pic...it looked like a medieval kickball, all covered in red fleshy tissue. it was odd. but interesting!

Tis a most gnarly scar that shall surely outscar all other scars who might come before it. I am terrifically grateful that you'll be around to put all "I've got a scar, too" comers in their places for a long time yet to come. ;)
