i honestly do not know how someone could say things like that. especially if they're friends.

i'd like to think that we're all better than that but i do understand that we are all human and people say things without thinking.

that doesn't justify it by any means, i wish people would just think about the consequences of their words. maybe they'd think twice about saying whatever is on their mind.
