Summary: Sam has an imaginary friend but so do most people. Only, most people don't meet their imaginary friends in abandoned houses. In seconds Sam's life goes from simple restless spirits to another apocalypse and no one is sure if this is one that can be survived. It is quickly clear that they are going to need old friends and new ones to save a world defended by two hunters and a Time Lord.
A/N: (Apart from prologue 1) For the Doctor, this takes place a few years after the events of The Wedding Of River Song. For the Winchester boys, this is a short time after The Girl Next Door. On the Torchwood side of things, I have pretended Miracle Day never happened and this goes to my own head-canon after Day 3.
