One Man's Trash...

I've accumulated a lot of clothes over the years. I'll never publicly say that I worry about being stylish or trendy, but my closet tells another story, a story most true fashionistas would laugh at. Or cry. My past attempts at staying current are now piled up on my bed, ready to be bagged and carted off to Goodwill tomorrow.

Honestly, I have a very narrow selection of clothing that I wear these days. I cycle through about ten outfits at work, and when I'm at home or lounging, I'm a total t-shirt and jeans guy. And I'll wear a pair of jeans until they fall apart.

I'm thankful that I've reached a point where I just don't care that much anymore. It's not that I don't want to look nice, I just realize the power of clothing staples; my solid black sweater isn't going to go out of style anytime soon.

I've learned my lesson well. Old Navy $2 t-shirt, I don't need you! I've got ten of your kind in a drawer already and still I'll opt for last year's service trip tee. It means more.

So in no particular order, here is what I'm giving away:

2 hats
1 pair of fairy wings from Halloween's past
4 towels
29 pairs of pants/shorts
48 t-shirts
5 pairs of shoes
17 sweaters
2 sweater vests
4 jackets/coats
31 button down shirts
12 polo shirts
2 racquetball rackets
1 jogging cd player
1 radio alarm clock
3 vases
1 shoulder bag

Bonus: finally having enough clothes hangers for the things I actually do wear.
