Yesterday (Tuesday), I decided to try and teach myself how to draw. I used one picture for reference and I tried to copy the basic techniques. 5 hours later, I had created something that didn't resemble the original neither in form nor style (and that's not a good thing). Ah Cal Poly Nights. So far it's no where near being complete. But I should be able to make a demo soon. If Makai Kingdom doesn't completely take over my life.

And on the the topic of Guild Wars, I'm sure Tuan will be happy to here that. You should team up with him if you decide to get the game.

I still can't wait for tomorrow thou. The shipment of Makai Kingdom should come either tomorrow or Friday. I'm hoping for tomorrow. I was kinda bummed it wasn't there today. Anways, till then I'll work on the demo.

Post the pic somewhere, maybe I can give some feedback. I really need to learn flash or something to help darnell animate his Cal Poly Nights game, of course the Yoddy character would be phenomenally popular, like the merchant in Resident Evil 4. Cookies!...stranger?

Man I forgot about a Yoddy-ish character. All I need now is a Resident 4 style pic of Yoddy and the wav file of the merchant saying stuff.

I just saw your pic. That's pretty good. Especially if it is only with a mouse. cuz drawing with a mouse is really hard, they are always squirming about, their claws are sharp and they always demand too much cheese. Personally, I have found that investing in a tablet and a stylus for my computer has made drawing on the comp much much easier. So far it looks really good. My only advice at this time is study anatomy, everything is based off of some knowledge of anatomy, proportions, etc. For anime cartoony style drawings, you only really need to know the basics, but the more you know the more realistic pics you will be able to draw. Having that foundation will allow you to develop your own style and draw without having to reference another picture too much. But like I said so far the pic looks really good. Yoddy a secret character, Yay.

Yoddy plus costumes = awesome. (Edit: I wonder if Yoddy reads Live Journal)

Now I need Yoddy's voice saying "I'll buy that at a high price" and "Cookie, Stranger?" but in a Res-Evil voice style.

As for magic I haven't played either, no one plays here too.

However, I'm still working on Cal Poly Nights. I just need to make a story, put in the CLA building, the Mansion, Police Station and the Village in it. That and tune up the monsters a bit then the game will be complete.

But alas I think Commons and the Dorms is enough for now.
