I have to agree with creating the models that will help us make future decisions - or perhaps come to terms with decisions we've already made.

BUT - how do you define reality? How do you know that what's 'real' (in the conceptual sense - not scientific) is too complex for us to understand? Each person lives in their own reality, whether they acknowledge it or run away from it or even know it exists. I believe that's where our subconscious mind comes into the picture....creating the 'models' as a result of the connecting stories you mention. I'm sure the creation of the models varies just as much as the individuals themselves.

It's still an interesting viewpoint. Does hurt my brain just a little to think that I can't figure it all out, though.

I was using 'reality' here to refer to the outside more than the subjective 'reality' of each person. I did not pretend to have an adequate definition, and I assume that reality is too complex, I did not claim that I could prove such a thing (scientifically or otherwise).

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally - taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
