I've had my 4 gig Ipod Nano since Thanksgiving 2005, still kicking and running strong....

I've got a 10GB 2nd Generation iPod and it works fine still

If they're selling so many of their product, surely it's because it's one of the better ones out there? If nothing else, your experience with the one you returned (which did sound useless) holds up that theory, right? And I wouldn't know since I don't own one (of any make, I just don't listen to music that much), but I think just because you own one doesn't mean you HAVE to use iTunes only, does it?

Just some random thoughts there...

If you want it to play the music, it has to go through Itunes.

I bought a Zen, it arrives today. :)

That last one would have been fine had they adjusted the programming for the playlist.
