A Bob Dylan Christmas

This is among the stranger things I have ever seen. I think I like it.

"Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen. Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon".

I guess Bob did take a go at the lyrics, in addition to the weird, David Lynch-esque video.

I'm torn between being amused and very, very sad.

Can you imagine a young Bob Dylan watching this? The shame? A bullet through the heart to prevent such a future comes to mind...

Then there's that time he opened for the Stones and I had to stand there for way too long listening to all his new material without any of the old stuff I actually know.

He deserves this.

The way I see it is that Dylan no longer feels burdened by the need to be anything to anyone, so he just does whatever the hell he feels like. I don't always like it, but in general I approve of people like him (Alan Moore and the late Stanley Kubrick also come to mind) getting to do that, and enjoy it when it results in something I like.
