I think the way they dressed him was supposed to suggest that. But also, Alpha's backstory would actually explain the Joker's mostly random personality. And AT really pulls it off.

Have to admit that I don't watch, but I did have to smile when I saw a sudden spike of posts on a soap board re: Dollhouse of "OMG! Alpha blew-up Kyle!" (aparently the actor who plays Kyle on One Life had a guest shot.)

I don't really know who they mean, but I do think Tudyk as Alpha is cool.

I don't actually know who he played on Dollhouse. Apparently this wasn't his first guestshot on Dollhouse. The actor's name is Brett Claywell. It's just on One Life that he plays "Kyle".
