You know, I am in the middle of my class in law school, which upset me at first because SHU was supposed to be my safety school and I had a complex that I thought I was so smart. And yes, I am that smart-- but I rarely studied. Had I studied more, i would be higher in the class - maybe not at the top, but in the top 1/3 anyways. But I needed me time, and I sacrificed school for friends and then Kevin. But I found a job that will provide me with a better quality of life than a NYC firm would.
Being mediocre in an extremely difficult profession that most people can't do is amazing! Thats how you should think of it. I couldn't do your job well- most people can't. And if anyone asks, you can honestly say you are in the Top 50 of experienced associates. No one needs to know thats the middle, hehe.
On that note- are you coming to Erica and my party next week? I havent seen in you in forever!!!!

Just got done reading your journal entry. Good luck finding a new job. Sounds like a fresh start is what is needed. I hope that you find what you are looking for. Even if you don't know exactly what it is. Here's something to help you start thinking. What kinds of things do you enjoy doing? Who knows, maybe you could go to culinary school or something. I hope that question helps you to think. later.
