Scratch the last entry. Last night I accepted the assistant position and I just quit the nanny job. The kids were terrible. They were brats with no boundaries and yes, I know they will get to know me and calm down and yes, I know they just had their lives uprooted but their behavior just made my decision a lot easier. Continuous bratty behavior is not excusable. Extenuating circumstance don't create brats--parents do. And I speak as someone who adores all children.
But I hope you gave the family notice. At least a week.
I'm happy you are working within a school district. If for no other reason than to have that on your resume, and for the benefits. And wow, they are covering all costs on your benefits--can't beat that.
Good luck on the new job. And at the Halloween store. And who knows, by this time next year, you might be writing to us about a full fledged, full time position!
