Pasta Salad

Jul 31, 2006 09:29

I've made pasta salad for potlucks the last two weekends (at born_to_me and gundo's and at chaoticgoodchic's) and had several requests for the recipe.

The problem is, this doesn't really have a recipe. It's the end result of the process that starts with the question "Would this taste good in pasta salad?", repeated many times.

They're more like *guidelines*, really... )

Wonderful!! Thank you very much. :-) I'm going to try it with penne or elbows on a smaller scale since I (so far) can't find rotini from Dreamfields.

You mean like this? (Dreamfields will sell it to you by the case; they also have a link to sell it by the box.)

HTH, HAND.

That's exactly what I meant. I *knew* I'd seen that they had rotini on the website!! I hadn't had a chance to go back and check it out though. Thank you. :-)

I can (presently) get fettucine, spaghetti, elbows and penne at Jewel. I might just buy a case of the rotini until they get it in the stores. So far I've found no benefit price-wise to ordering straight from them. Some places it's cheaper if you do that, but not there. Ah well.

Thanks for posting this. I forgot to ask for the recipe, but I'm glad someone else didn't. Yum!! I love sampling other people's cooking.

I think I can really relate/get into the part about putting everything in the bowl only to discover there's no room for the rest of the stuff and cursing! The stories my refrigerator could tell of me if it could talk!!

Ciao Meow,

I have these gigantic tupperware bowls that I use for such things, because I'm famous for making WAY too much food.

It's going to be hard just cooking for two now... I'm almost anxious for Bundle to get a big appetite so I can cook more again. ;-)
