YAY! for the first time this semester...i fell asleep in class!
Thank you...thank you...i want to thank everyone who encouraged me to get to this point.
in other news...facebook has a new feature called "notes"... my opinion follows:
facebook strikes again...

continuing in its ongoing effort to be just like other good programs or websites that are out there (note: myspace is not a good website)...facebook not only adds a "note" feature...but allows you to import blogs into this note feature...
I can see it having its practical uses...and having the ability to tag names with notes is very unique...but the fact that it automatically brings in things from outside sources is frustrating. soon there will be a wiki import funtion where you can search for anyting you want right from your profile or home and have it auto post to somebody's wall. I like having things in seperate places...i like having things seperated...this really depresses me.
Now i realize the irony of writing this in a note...believe me it didn't escape me...
only because i'm not one to judge a book by its cover...
incoporating this feature into the already mindless "social tool" just gives people an even stronger false confidence that human interaction is as easy as clicking, typing, and poking.
DONT FORGET - coming soon to Facebook:
1) Facebook Cupid - Let facebook find your soulmate for you by matching you with people with similar interests, groups, favorite quotes, and/or skin color. Participate in "High-Speed Dating" where you can stalk people's profiles over 28X faster than dialup. Then visit the Cyber-Chat/Sex lounge for some heavy mouse petting...
2) Facebook Event Planner v2.0- Who's bringin the keg?!? Who's got the vodka?? Was it your turn to pass out on the bathtub or did u do that last party? Keep track of everything with FEPv2.0. Organize who's bringing what alcohol...assign double alcohol for those people you don't like....and even check the database to see what alcohol people already have in their dorm. get a ride home just by poking the cab driver of your choice. Not 21?!? NO PROBLEM...find out which or your friends are over 21 and what their buying fee is! and don't ever be caught wearing the same thing to a party as someone else using the new "outfit check".
3)Facebook Gone Wild - our Facebook Gone Wild Crew is going around campus websites with laptops and webcams and the hottest girls for real Girl on Girl poking action. Buy now and we'll send you "Barely Legal - The High School Facebook edition"
4) Last but not least - Fantasy Facebook! - Pick your friends wisely as you try to run the most successful group on campus! Do you hang out with Joe Jock or Susie Sorority? Simulate what would happen if all of your friends hooked up! Complete with real life events like drunk dials, forgotten birthdays, party hookups and the herpes that comes with it!
