Try to think of yourself as satyrical, rather than jaded.

satirical = Of, relating to, or characterized by satire.

satire = A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit. -or- The brankc of literature constituting such works. - Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.

jaded = Worn out; wearied. - Dulled by surfeit; sated. - Cynically or pretentiously callous.

nope. sorry. not satyrical.
definately jaded, and possibly a bit satirical. but not satyrical at all.

As I'm sure you already know, the almighty they make us pay so much for education so they can get rich and fat. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I read somewhere that tuition has gone up considerably faster than inflation has in the last 30 or so years. Most people wind up paying for college well into their 30s, and sometimes longer. Getting a degree these days costs as much or more than getting a house. Even an average college tends to cost upwards of $30,000 per year, now. Which is over $100,000 for your standard 40year degree. Which doesn't even count graduate or postgraduate degrees, which can more than double that, and are increasingly necessary.

There's something inately sick about making such a ridiculous amount of money just equipping people with the skills they'll need to make someone else ridiculously rich once they're finished...

i'm thinking it's probably a subset of murphy's law.
paying exhorbitant amounts for college education squeezed in there between finding the love of your life when you're not looking and don't want to get into a relationship, and your lucky shirt being in the dirty laundry the day you have that big interview.
