So, i was sitting pretty on a nest of coin with a bulging purse worth about 40,000 gold. Then, i bought Proudspire Manor in Solitude with all the fixin's and now i've got about 5,000 left. Which isn't the real problem: what happens if i side with the Stormcloaks? Solitude is the Imperial capital of Skyrim. More importantly, what if something ( Read more... )

You're living the lord's life...

LMFAO I can't sit in the dark anymore, my eyes feel strained as shit and it's more cozy to have some dim light going in the corner, I think. Maybe I'm the ancient bear...

The lord of poop maybe...

DARKNESS! Luckily, the hanging candle and the living room TV are kind of in my peripheral, so i get a little benefit. Not much though: my head and neck and eyes have been sore as shit since the 11th LMFAO.

Fox, bear and wolf...

I'm certain now that both sides have their good and bad points (and people). The Empire seems to signify order and peace, but currently they're only following the whims of the Aldmeri Dominion--heck, when it boils down to it, the whole reasons the conflict with the Stormcloaks started was because of the Dominion. Also, they tried to kill you. The Stormcloaks, on the other hand, represent independence and freedom for the "Nord way of life"--for Nords. A lot of people playing elves run into their racism and go for the Empire simply because of that. Bretons don't seem to get much attention at all, but in the end it seems like they'll pin a medal on my character's chest and tell her to get out.

The real enemy, IMO? The Dominion/Thalmor/whatever. Fuck those guys! I ran into Ancano in the College of Winterhold and damn it do I want to throw him into the abyss.

WHOA wait a minute apparently level 50 isn't the level cap according to this. Basically, when all your skills are at 100, you stop gaining levels, which is around level 70 or something. After level 50 it takes twice as many skill increases to actually level up.

AWWW YEAHHHH This changes everything for me. I love this kind of system.

Yeah, i'm not particularly happy with the xenophobic, "Skyrim for Nords" Stormcloak philosophy - Alfyn doesn't much care for politics, but he's reaved and rapined with elves of every color and even the cats and the lizards and they all bleed the same, so they're okay in his book. But the empire... lickspittles and cravens, the lot of them! Empire is just another word for Dominion, as far as i'm concerned. Definitely fuck 'em! Ancano is a cocksucker and most Thalmor are much the same.

CAPS! I'm pleased to hear that. What i think i might do soon - seeing as how i have most of the combat/gameplay oriented perks i wanted - is start pumping up Smithing. At first i was going to ignore it, but i figure 1) it's free xp and i can probably get a few levels out of it, since my Smithing is abominably low and 2) eventually work it up to making Dragon armor. I have almost 100 of bones and scales each and i need to do something with them LMFAO. So many dragon skeletons littering Skyrim...

I'm hoping that the Stormcloaks, while taking Ulfric's name, don't follow him on every single detail. He's just a rallying "shout" for them LMAO I'M SO FUNNY. People argue that to beat the Dominion Skyrim must remain a part of the Empire, which must unite and fight back AGAIN, but I'm of the opinion that breaking away isn't so bad. To fight back the Dominion would have to go through Hammerfell AND Cyrodiil, and while the Imperials are at a standstill with them I'm sure they'd fight back again if they tried to occupy their lands. I'm playing a character who doesn't want to meddle, but my RL mind is pretty interested. Just not in RL politics LMAO.

I'm definitely going to start putting points into Smithing. It's ridiculously easy to level up too! I think there's a light armor version of Dragon armor (dragonscale I presume?) so I'll go up to there from the left side, although Daedric armor sounds pretty sweet, though it's only got heavy. I'll get that after I get dragon haha. Then shove it on a follower...
