That sucks. My migraines don't respond to triptans either. Of course, with bipolar, you shouldn't be taking any abortives unless you are also taking mood stabilizer . . .
I have been trying to convince the doctor that the hospital is right. I need the percocet. It is the only thing that seems to be capable of getting rid of a migraine completly. But the doctor hesitates to prescribe Narcotics.
I am working on getting to a psychiratrist so they can give me something for my bipolar... although I have been doing well keeping it under control.
Yes, you and I both seem to be able to control the bipolar to some degree, but if you take a triptan abortive, it will cause mania, often uncontrolled mania. I've heard some good things about Toridol, one of the (horrible) side effects is weight loss.
