I need to figure out which university I want to go to... U of L, or JCC... U of L, or JCC.
JCC:
The Pros:
- Cheaper. WAY cheaper.
- I'll be done in a shorter amount of time, so I'll have a "real" job quickly, and will be guaranteed work (since it's a trade/specialized training with high demand)...
- Campus is closer to where I'll be staying.
- Did I mention how much cheaper it is?
The Cons:
- Community college. That's great, but it's kind of... well, employers may favor college graduates over CC graduates...
- On-campus work is highly competitive, so I may not be able to work while I'm going to school, legally.
- Medical Assisting is good, but it's not what I really want to do. Not that I'm in a position to be picky, but hey, while we're being honest...
U of L:
The Pros:
- Highly esteemed college.
- I'll be 99% guaranteed an on-campus job.
- I'll be studying and paying for something I want to do, not just a job.
The Cons:
- I'm Canadian, so they rape me up the ass with tuition. 12 000 USD a YEAR, which equals 20 years paying back 300/month... ow...
- Courseload might be too much, with having to settle in and everything. A four-year committment isn't anything to sneeze at.
- Further commute... about twice the distance away that JCC is, as I understand.
...just typing this is making me favor JCC.
