So, I went ahead and bought the chart for Sky's wedding gift. I'm a little nervous because this thing is a beast -- 18"x18"(!!!) So, last year, I read "The Lost Hero" (never having read a Percy Jackson book). Now, I'm reading* "Son of Neptune". Then, the plan is to start reading the Percy Jackson series. You know, after I get through The Chronicles of Narnia.

So, I decided to finally crack open my embroidery book and make one of the projects in there. It actually turned out decently, especially since I freehanded the template. It was a lot more fun than I anticipated...it took me longer than I thought it would, but I'm assuming that had to do with the fact that I'm a n00b.

So, the little sister called today and is trying to plot ideas about her Legend of Zelda themed wedding.

Time is short, so we're scrambling around.

My eyes are ready to fall out, but the cross-stitching part of my latest project is done. Another 1+ hour of backstitching and this sucker is done.
