I love the Land Girls - and there was a Women's Land Army during WWI, as well, the predecessor for the one that emerged during WWII. Now I'm dying to know if an 18-year-old Polly was one of the original Land Girls, and she just picked up where she left off in the second war!

And I love this: " I can see really easily where Gran Su got that awesome streak of being a pain in the ass to anyone determined to hand out badness and woe."
