My normally very drama-free family has recently decided to shake things up a bit and stuff's been a bit intense between some people. I wrote a big long vent email to my best mate who used to live across the road from me up in the mountains and, in the middle of her awesome reply, was this:

'All I’m reminded about is when I was driving down with your ( Read more... )

Working on multiple projects sounds fun. You can jump to the other if your muse for one projects start to hide or your characters do. Good luck and I know what you mean about family. They can make me go *arghhh* even when they mean well but love them anyway

I always have about a million stories on the go at once even though I desperately try to just stick to one! My muse is most definitely a fickle thing.

Good old family, the only thing worse than having them is not having them!

I really hope the drama blows over. My family has recently decided to all come together to scream at me at once about things I've apparently done, my behavior, etc. in the last year. It was quite the intervention, and I was forced to sit through it or that would create an even bigger problem. Surprisingly, the only person who was on my side was my mom, who I had previously thought to be the one that wouldn't be on my side. It turns out she's alot more perceptive than I thought. She cleared away the mess and made the angry people (my dad, brother) think about their own actions, which had loads to do with my behavior. I now have much more respect for the woman I thought was too busy to be in my life. That's a lesson learned for me, don't underestimate others.

And to put my guess on which cliche you'll use, I say childhood friend/current enemy. You haven't done that one yet. I would say cocky player and sarcastic girl, but you did that with Max and Charlie.

Wow, I'm glad the majority of my family's issue centres on someone else, you have my sympathies for being in the thick of it. Great, though, that in that hard time you saw your mum shine through as your ally. Every cloud has a silver lining, and all that.

You were pretty close with your cliche guess, I'm still trying to carve out where it's going, but it looks to be a rich boy/girl who has always known and been frustrated by him story. Hopefully it'll turn out less lame than it sounds!

Cheers for your message.

Well... what to say? :)

This is me, urging you to write, share and be even more awesome by doing it soonish. :D

I'm glad you're writing, though. I was afraid you hit a drought.

Not so much a drought, just a complete lack of time to write! Still, I think I'm going to hide away this weekend and see what I can get done. Thanks for the encouragement!

This message has been long overdue. It'll be my first time contacting you in anyway, and I regret not doing so sooner ( ... )

Wow, hon, just...wow! What an incredible message to get, I'm kind of speechless (write-less?).

Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoy my stories and that you get so into them, that's absolutely brilliant to hear. I can't really think of anything to say to show how genuinely touched I am by your message, so you'll just have to trust me that I am!

I'm going to edit the second chapter of Saving from Monkeys like a fiend now so that I can get it up quickly for you. I'd feel awful if I left you waiting now!

Cheers!
