Interesting.

What I have always found particularly interesting is how people vote along racial lines. I don't, for example, consider Obama being part African American to be his appeal...I know it's important for some African American voters, just as electing someone like Norman Mineta would be appealing to Japanese Americans since so very few people of color are elected to higher offices. Barack Obama recently wrote a book about his father, someone whom he really even didn't know, and it was his mother ( caucasian) who raised him.

To me he represents someone who would be a good leader for our country because he HAS taken advantage of every opportunity he has had, as you mentioned.
