It's kind of weird. Both times I've quit a job, I've given my two weeks notice. But then, at some point during the two weeks, usually right after it is given, the job treats me like shit or I just realize that hey, I have another job and I'm fed up with this one. yeah, why quit starbucks? i thought you loved it there. i'm applying to all the nearby starbucks because i need a second job. i think it would be sweet coming home smelling of coffee. i can smell it now....

I usually do the same thing, no matter how sincere my efforts are to stick around for those last days. I did it with my last job, because I thought "I have another job! Why am I still here!?" It's just, after you know you're leaving, the whole thing feels really pointless.

yes, i think you summed it up well. and to answer the question of why i quit, it's because i wasn't making enough money and lowe's is paying me a lot of money for full time (well, for the position i have anyway). cause now that i have my own apartment and stuff i need to be making plenty of money. some day i will work at starbucks again.
