Science fiction, fantasy, sometimes mystery, some nonfiction, pretty much anything but a dull biography (as in DULL, not all bios) and romance. DNW romance novels. XD
* Outlander (Cross Stitch[1] in UK) (1991) * Dragonfly in Amber (1992) * Voyager (1994) * Drums of Autumn (1997) * The Fiery Cross (2001) * A Breath of Snow and Ashes (2005) * An Echo in the Bone (2009)
WOOT WIKI ROCKS :P *wants to read these toooooo* someday P:
Read Eoin Colfer's other books, The Supernaturalist, Airman, The Wish List.
Have you read Phillip K. Dick's work? It's sci-fi/cyberpunk and I enjoy it. Read the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy series if you haven't (It's on my list of reads for this year XD).
That's all I can think of atm, but yes I think I will join you in this, I counted last night and I have 60 books currently in my house to read not including the books on my amazon wish list that I still want to buy and read XD.
Well I did spend like $300 on books in the last few months XD and I got $75 worth of gift cards for the bookstore for christmas so I will be buying more soon XD
Saw your giant books of DOOOM comment on Laurie's post. Have you read the Sword of Truth series? Or the Shanarra series? I think most people would consider those books of doom, but 600+ seems normal to me XD I'd never hit 100 reading real books of the sort I read
You still have half of the Artemis Fowl series to go too. Have you read Gregory Maguire's stuff? His Oz ones are my favorites, and the others not as good. And Arturo Perez-Reverte is a favorite author. Club Dumas involves The Musketeers a bit, and his Captain Alatriste series is set during the Inquisition. I read alot of historical ficion, classics and some forensic mysteries, if you've interest in any of those.
I have! Only this year. My brother saw the 'Legend of the Seeker' show on TV, and then found the books...he read two of them and I read them all. XD
Yeah, most of the books I read are giant fat things. I can read a standard 300page paperback in a day, if I don't have anything else to do, but I'm having to read shorter books, simply because I will run out of time.
I've read Terry Brooks' "Magic Kingdom For Sale" and its sequels, but not the Shanarra stuff. I'll have to look into them. :D
Sounds like you read like me. I started SoT last year because of the show too, and they are like crack XD Working on Confessor now. Aiming to finish it and Debt of Bones before I hit a year since finishing the first book of the series.
Most people go O_O when I tell them how fast I read. *highfives*
I really need to re-read the last three. I was in a hurry to find out how things ended, and I hadn't read Faith of the Fallen or Naked Empire yet, so I didn't understand how serious the whole belief system of the Empire was. I skipped a lot of Richard's motivational speeches. XD
I haven't found Debt of Bones yet, but need. to. read.
I've read/listened to 2, 3 and half of 4. I like them, but honestly, from what I've heard about the first one, the movie made a better MOVIE, while the book made a better BOOK. It was mainly about them trying to get to Hollywood, not about finding stuff. And you can only have so many "kids trying to get to X" movies before it gets dumb. I found Percy and Anabeth less annoying in the movie than the books, but then the age they are in the books is the "annoying age". I still really am enjoying the books though. :D
