RECIPE: Sweet Potato Cheesecake

Nov 16, 2011 11:52

I'm storing this recipe (with picture!) here so that next time I'm in the good old US of A I can make it. And I'm counting on certain kitchens to help in this project. Probably Rae's. XD

Stolen from a darling friend on facebook. ^_^

Why can't you make it when you're home? There's no special ingredients, you could make it today! :D :D

We don't have sweet potatoes! Technically, kumara are sweet potatoes, but the taste and texture is completely different.

*blinks* I was about to say surely you DO, WE do! And you're just across the pond. Kumara is just the Maori word for for sweet potato, but I'm assuming you mean you want the really yellow gushy variety of sweet potatoes that get called yams in the States?

I'm pretty sure you can get them here (so I'm assuming there) too its just harder cause no one really buys them xD

I can't see why you couldn't make it with our sweet potatoes though, they're still very easy to mash and super soft. ^_^
