You're lucky you've not had problems... I'm constantly under pressure about it. And now that I've moved here I get to get my eyes checked every year! (every 2 years back in the US ><)
The thing is, if someone asked me that question, my answer would be my hearing. While it's possible to get hearing aids and even maybe a cochlear implant to get some semblance of "hearing" back, there's nothing quite like that for sight and there won't be for a long time.
Personally, I hate the gyno. Maybe I just haven't come across a nice one that doesn't feel the need to really question why I hate my period or something.
You should try going to see a male gyno. I have had a lot better luck with them. They don't have female bits so they are usually a lot more careful/etc when it comes to things.
