You know, I think everyone here has one of those "I DON'T GET WHY PEOPLE DO THIS" tick. Mine has to do with not spaying and neutering your pets

i'm quite surprised people don't like tabby / black kitten... they are the cutest! (superstition aside).
my biggest peeve is when people adopt pets and THEN realizes they are unable to take care of these pets. you should seriously think about that before you adopt!! it's just sad when pets are given away when they are no longer a tiny and cute cause no one wants them anymore... now THAT makes me mad.
Well, we get SO MANY of them. Like for instance we have another momma cat who had two kittens: one black, one tabby. I think it's just because we have so many that when we go to adopt a pets it's really hard to "distinguish" them all. Not to mention the cats get crazy usually, because it's stressful and they don't act their stellar personalities :(
That's another peeve of mine.. we just had a return because the original adopters couldn't take care of the cat so they gave them to the parents! Then the parents had to get rid of him because one of the grandchildren developed allergies! That's another annoyance. ALLERGIES. I've been living with cats all my life, I got allergies. I deal with it. Sure, some might get life threatening allergies but w/e. I hate that allergy excuse. "OH I SNEEZE AROUND CATS" ... ffs. :(
Please do! We got tons here in the house that need adopting :( Tons of good-personality ones. As long as you don't want a kitten, the older they are the harder they are to adopt =p
Kittens are cute, but older cats are so much easier to deal with. They won't go all psycho on your leg while you try to sleep or meow and scratch up the house when you leave or be eaten by wild animals (mostly) if they get out of the house.
I also want my next dog to be full-grown when I get him/her. I don't have time for the intensive young dog training.
Before we got our birdy, Phil and I were thinking about adopting an older cat. We saw this beautiful 7 year old cat at the shelter. Her name was Lily. She purred endlessly and licked my hand. SO sweet! If it wasn't her, we were looking into another adult cat (3 years old) named Guilliver. I loved watching him interact with the kittens
