We're reading Die Verwandlung (The Metamorphosis) by Kafka in my audited German class. I think some of you may remember that from high school. It is so nasty. Why must it be that? Why can't we read fairy tales? :)

Haven't read many german fairy tales... but I am sure they are far better than that.. truge though it maybe you will get to read some better stuff later.. ;)

They are usually pretty bloody, but not as disgusting as The Metamorphosis. It goes into detail about a man being turned into a bug. I don't remember much except that it was gross.
