When I was about 10-12, we were in a really small town where the Catholic church was actually just a converted small house of about 1200-1500 sq ft. There were all of about 30 catholics in the entire county and the priests and nuns circulated from county to county. My mom was in good with a few of the nuns because, like them, she played guitar at the time--though never in mass. (There was one nun that played well and sang well.)

Anyhow, my family started a "movie night" of sorts where folks from the church could come over, hang out in the living room, drink brews (imports), and watch old Flash Gordon movies from one old-school reel-projector dealie.

I have a pretty non-standard take on how nuns act. :)

Heheh... well, guitar-playing nuns sounds quite "Sound-of-Music-ish." ;) You know their secret lives!
