Some Catching Up

Acupuncture conference this weekend. It was good to see former classmates and colleagues. Attended some interesting lectures in my area of specialty. None of the vendors was particulary spectacular, nor where there any deals too good to resist. I did try this mat made of tubes filled with amethyst crystal pieces, with gold ends, and warmed with ( Read more... )

*hugs* I'm hoping to talk to you this weekend. Which should be doable now that I'm not heading out to the ex-gf's house.

Hey you. I've been horribly lax in my communications. I would like to friend you, and have you friend me. So consider yourself poked. *poke* ^_^ It's a Kitty.

Hi Chi/Pam, Yes, I remember you...yes, it took me a minute. Thank you for remembering me. Do you still live in SD? Please let me know more about Zia. I had changed my email address, and never heard from her after she left San Diego in 4/99. It made me very sad. I tried looking on google, and only found the info almost a year after she died. Thanks. Jesse/Margi

Hi Jesse, Thank you for responding.
Yes, I'm still in San Diego... Hillcrest. I get the impression that you are in San Diego as well. Is that correct? I think it would be easier to get together than for me to anticipate, let alone all type about Zia.
What do you think? Contact me at zookz at cox dot net.

PS Sorry, but all these name-slash-names are cracking me up. Nancy/Zia, Chi/Pam, Jesse/Margi.

When you met me in San Diego in the late 90s, my name was Chi.

Yesterday I googled Zia's name not knowing what I was expecting other than the pages I created which included her name, but there was something new: your blog entry.

I spent three weeks in May/June 04 with Zia in Dayton, OH. She was in need of care-giving as most had either abandoned or were neglecting her. We spoke weekly from there on out.

I spent another week in November 04, celebrating her 55th, what would be her last, birthday and Thanksgiving with her.

She was loving. compassionate, witty, brilliant, peaceful, and lucid throughout. I last spoke with her two hours before she slipped into a coma. She died peacefully two days later on Dec 1, surrounded by her mother, brother, and Stirling who was there for the duration beginning in mid-June 04.

Zia always included you in the group email she sent to friends and family, as did Stirling in her "Zia's health status report" emails.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to talk.

Best,
Pam
