Well, changing is a normal part of living. If you've stopped changing, you're probably dead.

And changes mean you stop talking with some people so much, or stop seeing some people so much. Doesn't mean you're not friends or still bonded in some way. Even comets are part of the solar system family, after all (their orbit is just 5000 years longer than everyone else's :D)

Plus you know, I feel that one line from "Hurt" rings with my life all too well ("everyone I know goes away in the end"). I feel like I lose contact with hella people I'd rather not have. And I always leave those doors maybe not open but definitely at least unlocked, on the offchance that they might wander back in, even maybe for just a short while. If they don't, well, I'm not losing out on anything I haven't already lost out on, but if they come back, ah, yes, the payoff is good enough that it's worth a shot, ya know?

Also, deleting people from a friends list is 99% of the time such a pissy and petulant high school drama bullshit move to make. :D
