three shows and a play

I have so much to write about! I guess I'll do an LJ cut for you people but read it, ok? lol. Yeah so this will include Projekt Revolution, Tsunami Bomb, a local show, and my Tim Curry experience from yesterday.

8-31 Projekt Revolution- On Tuesday I went with Hayley to see this show. We stayed over by the second stage mostly and got to meet Funeral for a Friend and Autopilot Off. They were both nice. Then we went to our seats and saw The Used, Snoop Dogg, Korn, and Linkin Park. Korn was the best of all, they just have such a tight show and we knew all the songs so that made it that much more fun.

09-01 Tsunami Bomb- This show was fun, the opening acts were good and Tsunami Bomb were the first band we ever saw at the Launchpad so it was extra special to see them there again. The highlight of the night was this white guy with a huge afro who was dancing with Hayley and I. He was so crazy and he made us laugh.

09-04 Ki- We went to this show mainly to see Ki because we love them so. There were eight bands and we stayed for the first seven but left after Ki because everyone knows they're the best. It was a good show and we had front row and took a few pics.

09-05 Among Animals- I went to this show in Santa Fe with my parents and we went because Tim Curry was the star. We had awesome seats and I was so excited that my stomach was hurting! The show was about 12 actors taking turns reading poems, singing songs, and doing short skits about animals to raise money for the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. So all of the actors came out and sat in a row of chairs on the stage, Tim was the fourth seat in. I just stared at him for the whole show, I had no idea who the other actors were lol. He had the most parts also, plus he sang three songs. I was so proud of myself to not cry but then towards the end of the show he sang a folk song about a dog that died and it was the saddest thing I had ever heard, especially coming from him because he loves his dogs so much. Yeah so everyone in the audience fell apart during that song, it was so amazing. I took a few pics during the show too. Then afterwards we wanted to try and meet him so my mom asked the ushers if the actors would come out and they asked a guy who told us to go outside and go around to the back door. We waited there with four other people. There were two girls a bit younger than me and they said "Oh she has the Rocky Horror Picture Show- she's so smart we should've brought something too!" There were also a couple who had a solo record of Tim's from the seventies, they are very rare which is why I don't have one. I saw it and said "nice" and we started talking and he said how the record was from before my time. I then told him that "Simplicity" is my fav Tim song and he was noticeably impressed that I knew the song. It was cool to earn his respect. So we waited a few minutes and the other actors were coming out so we waited some more. Then (and I'm shaking just typing this) Tim Curry shows up in the doorway signing things for people in there. He then tells those people "I have to sign things for these people outside and then I'll come back in" and he came out by us. I couldn't believe it and I just starting crying like crazy. You all know how cool I usually am around famous people, but this was different. The guy with the record talked to him first and Tim was awed that the guy had his record and said "I don't even have one of these!" which was funny. Then it was my turn. My mom got him to sign our program of the play. Then he signed my RHPS, you know the card that comes inside DVDs. I asked him to make it out to Jessica and he did. My mom told him I was crying and he said "Oh Jessica!" and it was adorable. We told him that we are big fans and he was happy about that and he was so gracious too. Then my mom took a pic of Tim and I and he put his arm around me and so I did it right back to him and it was awesome. My mom said he had the biggest smile on his face so I hope the pic turns out. He was so handsome, and he has such gorgeous hair! Yeah so we were walking away and he said "Wait this is your marker!" and so I got it back from him and we stepped aside and I took a few more pics of him. I was crying so hard and it was the most incredible moment of my entire life, he was such a doll! The nicest person ever!
