Background info, as of late.

So I made an update on my life back in September. It's now March, 6 months later, and of course, things are much different.

Beau's in college, we're expecting baby number 2, we re-homed all of our dogs, and are looking forward to life as a military family.

Well, we found out we were expecting the new baby in November (it was no accident, btw). I am now 20 weeks into the pregnancy and we found out last Tuesday that this baby is a little girl. We are excited to have one of each. I thought we had settled on the name Bella Mae, but Beau brought up to me last night that he was sure how he felt about the name because his evil step-grandmother has a similar name. So now we are in discussions. He can't think of anything he'd prefer, though, so it still may be Bella. I mean, how perfect would it be for out kids to be Beau and Bella. He half-suggested last night that we could name her Jessica, after me. So Beau and Jessica could have kids named Beau and Jessica. No, sir, not interested.

Anyways, when we were sure that we were expecting, it led us to re-evaluate things. Like the amount of lives we are responsible for already. We had a soon-to-be walking toddler and 3 cocker spaniels. We could really simplify the situation regarding our son, but we decided it best for us and for the dogs that they should find new homes. Lolly went a friend/fellow-church-goer, Rooney and Harley went to 2 different families we found through the classified ads. We miss our dogs terribly but life is SO MUCH SIMPLER without having to sweep 3 times a days because of the dog hair, grooming, and worrying about the baby getting into the dog food. Also, they are all getting the individual attention that they deserve.

In December, Beau didn't get the $100 Christmas bonus that he has been receiving from his boss for years. Because Beau was sick the week he was expecting to get the bonus, we were really depending on it. And it didn't come. Again, we were really forced us to evaluate things. Like, how can we be in a place where $100 makes so much of a difference? We know we want more out of life than this trailer in this glorified trailer park. But with his job he has now, there is no where else to go. He's the best cabinet builder in that shop, but he works in a family business, and there's no opportunity to move up. He decided to join the military. After looking into things, and talking to my dad, a retired Army Sargent, we are excited about a new life. He decided to join the Marine Corps (Semper Fi!) and talked to a recruiter. He was told that since he had a GED and not a diploma, he would need 15 college credits to enlist. So he enrolled in LSUE.

He goes to school all day on Tuesday and Thursday and has a night class on Wednesdays and also has an online class. It's grueling for him. But he is doing well. I help when he wants or needs me to, but for the most part he is doing it all alone. And for being out of an academic setting for 10 years, his grades are good.

He is our sole income. And the work at the shop is really slowing down, so money is tight. We even talked about him going to work at Lowe's part time. His brother-in-law is in management there so he may talk to him about that. I applied for a receptionist job at a salon, but I haven't received a call back. There's aren't many employers who are willing to hire someone who will just need time off to have a baby in a few months and there aren't many jobs I can do in my "condition". I have the option to step up my MK business, but it's so hard to find people to have parties. And in my discombobulated head, it's so tough for me to stay on top of the business aspect of it. I am very disorganized lately. I am trying to fix that, slowly and surely. Also, it's hard finding a sitter.

Anyways, that's what's up now.
