E3 Impressions

Interesting:
- Brutal Legend.  Seriously can't wait for this.  Tim Schafer is love.
- Secret of Monkey Island.  THAT'S RIGHT.  SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND IS BACK.  I cannot contain the excitement that I have for this, though I'm hoping that if this does well, other classic Schafer games like Grim Fandango and Full Throttle will come back.
- Lots of ( Read more... )

On FF14, they've technically already announced 13 for the 360 and such... just not a final date. >.>

That's why I was thinking maybe 6 or so months down the road, FF XIV may not be exclusive anymore. And yes, a final date would be nice... ...there are so many games that I'm eyeballing, and then I look at my bank account and start thinking of what I absolutely want. My top priorities right now? Brutal Legend, King of Fighters (sooo can't wait for that, either), and Ghostbusters (which I've already reserved for Matt).

Sony seems to be losing a lot of its exclusives, which really puzzles me. They seem to be letting those exclusive opportunities slip through their fingers, for the most part.

MGS: Peacewalker. That trailer was waaaaay too long. Kojima needs an editor. - Play MGS 4, you'll then know how true that statement is.

But as far as trailers go, there was cinematic cut scenes (showing further how much the PSP has evolved like the PS2), showed graphical enhancements of IN-GAME graphics (Oh my god a trailer that does that shows that off the bat!?)
- Very Excited

StarFox revamp -
Oh please no, I see enough SF porn across the net there is no need to fuel it further D:

This E3 is one that has gotten me excited about gaming in the coming years and it certainly makes up for the mediocrity of last years!

"This E3 is one that has gotten me excited about gaming in the coming years and it certainly makes up for the mediocrity of last years!" IAWTC. It hasn't blown me away, but I'm impressed with what they've brought to the table, and the future seems brighter now. <3

My 2-cents (although I've gotten SO FAR BEHIND on gaming and keeping up with anything that isn't Rock Band DLC, oh shit, it's not for lack of money, it's for lack of TIME over here D:)--

GOOD-Both Microsoft and Sony's answers to the Wiimote--that is, Project Natal and the Swaggle or whatever it was--watching the demonstrations of both seemed really awesome, but just imagine if the two companies worked together to integrate them as one SUPER AMAZING WAY TO PLAY GAMES. Blows your mind. It's crazy to think we're living the future with these announcements. We just have to hope that they're used in sensible ways (i.e., I don't go playing my SRPGs with the expectations that I'm gonna move all over the room ( ... )

"-Peter Molyneux's little pedogame, ewwww, freaks the shit out of me. Patrick was saying they just need to make it a weird thing like Seaman, since then the Feds won't feel as compelled to monitor you." Yeaaaah, creepy. Still, I think the social interaction possibilities are neat.

"it was supposed to be Hulu accessibility on the 360!" That would be awesome. Then I could read the freakin' subtitles on some of the Japanese shows!

...now that I've seen the trailer for Kojima's Castlevania, I'm excited. It looks like some star talent, for sure. http://kotaku.com/5278059/whip-it-with-this-castlevania-lord-of-shadow-trailer
