Just a random update on Jess... I don't think I can manage to be a vegetarian anymore. I wasn't doing it for any special cause or anything so it's not breaking my morals or anything like that. I'm still proud of myself, it's the first thing I stuck to as long as I did, over a year (maybe almost two). But I've been really sick lately (no worrying ( Read more... )

caaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr *dreamy* I am mildly lactose intolerant and I have learned that if you don't have anything else in your stomach dairy doesn't sit well, you can try some over-the-counter things to help if you do see that you are having trouble with it, I have lactaid (I think that's the name) and just be sure that with the whole vegetairian thing that you are taking things for the proteins and such that you wouldn't be getting from not eating meat (I think I made an inadvertant double negative, you know what I mean though) It's so great to see you so, chipper? and all that, it's really refreshing and just, really wonderful :-D

Yeah... I'm sorta giving up the whole vegetarian thing I think.. I've done it long enough.. I think I just wanted to do it to prove I could and I did. And I have the effects of it.. I am seriously anemic and I had a horrible iron defficiency, but it'll get better with time once I go back to eating meat.. and I'm kinda mad about the car.. I can't get the headliner for it until they find a board so it'll be another week *sigh* Oh well.. I'll live with out it.. who looks up there anyway? And yeah.. I guess you could say I'm chipper :D I'm just really really happy.. I don't think my mood could get any better..

You can get iron from your green leafy veg you know ;) it's a better iron then red meat. Ummmm Lactose intolerance I am a bit too I tend to eat what I can and know the level. My son is baaaad with it. Lactase helps it helps break the enzyme down, I give it to son if he wants to eat ice cream and stuff. I'm a veggie have been for like 10 years. I didn't do it for any reason other than health - mainly I had a feeling BSE was passed onto humans. I often think about going vegan but I dunno.....
Remember when you start eating meat again you'll prob feel ill for a bit as body gets used to it (I went from veggie to meat eater in teens and was sick, and I know other people who have too) it goes away eventually though!

I am severely Lactose intollerant. I have been for many years now. I have learned to live with it. Nobody knows the pain we go through until they have experienced it for themselves. I do not think I could be a vegetarian. I like my meat. rofl

My grandma thinks I'm wrong because no one in our family is lactose intollerant but no one knows anything about my dad's family so who knows.. :P And I could never ever be vegan.. I love cheese :P That's why I can't be lactose intolerant.. at least I hope not :P
