Possibly Monty Python and the life of Brian. The scene where Stan says he wants to be Loretta so he can have babies 'where are you going to gestate the foetus? In a box?' cracks me up every time...
I actually used this on USENET, see if this link works. The epsicopal community didn't find it to be a useful example. ;)
1) What changed your views on abortion? 2) What draws you to the priesthood? 3) When did you become devoutly catholic? 4) What do you do? 5) When you do lectures for catholic groups on abortion, exactly what do you say? What arguments do you discuss?
hoho. I see. I never quite thought of it like that before....
But most men who want to change their gender do so because they actually feel as if they are women, trapped in side the body of a man. Likewise with women.
I have a big problem with the no female ordination thing. I regard it as sexist that a woman cannot lead the church.
I think it depends on whether its true or not. I mean, if the church has the authority to ordain, women should be allowed to be priests (and the Catholic church would do so), but if the authority lies elsewhere (a higher power) then you can't change the rules.
As for the gender thing, these people were demanding that transgendered individuals be allowed to change their sex on their baptism certificate (and thus, open the way for women priests by changing their gender). The problem is, biologically, they are still women. If you have an Y chromosome you are a man, if not, you are a woman.
Ok fru fru. You just copy and paste the rules at the top of the post.
