This week and last week at the infant room at Baby School were an improvement. Sheila demonstrated some affection for some babies. I still saw a whole lot of babies in bouncy seats and not much interaction, but I saw more holding and cuddling than I did the first week, too. I wondered if the first week had been like the last two weeks, would I have ( Read more... )

The scratches are healing remarkably well. I'm really glad. I don't think they will leave any permanent marks, or even any long-lasting marks. Whew!

That's just....gross. Geez, I hope that no more little incidents like this happen.

Do you mind if I ask why you are limiting your dairy intake? I think you mentioned why before, but I can't remember. Just curious....if it's supposed to be healthier for him?

I'm limiting dairy because a couple of months ago, I noticed blood in his poop and took him to the doctor. The doctor said it was likely because of a food sensitivity, and the most likely food sensitivity was milk protein, but there's really no way to know for sure, at least not this early. She indicated we could do tests later on. So I cut out most dairy, especially the obvious offenders like ice cream and milk. I'm not 100% dairy-free, but he hasn't had obvious blood again, though his poop tested positive for blood when we went back six weeks later. However, he doesn't have any behavior that makes me think he's in pain, so I'm not sure what to think of the trace blood that doesn't appear to the naked eye.

Anyway, that's why!
