Our house is clean!!! Yay!! It's so nice to be in a clean house once again. It makes me happy. :) I feel like we had been living in filth for the past several months.

Still working on my super long to-do list, but I'm at least halfway through it...( here's a taste )

Yesterday was exhausting. But good. Today has been good, too. It was so nice to sleep in. Usually I would do that on a Saturday, but I really felt like I deserved it today. :)

I feel like I can finally reclaim my practice time this week. Yay! On the other hand, I have a to-do list that is pretty lengthy. Not so yay. Better get on it!

I need to get in the shower, play through a piece before rehearsal, go to rehearsal, come back, take care of dishes and laundry, maybe practice some more, call students, and teach, and all I want to do is sit in front of the computer!

There was a big wind storm here in Louisville this past Sunday; 75% of Louisville lost power. They estimated 10-14 days to restore everyone's power, b/c they had sent workers down to the Gulf Coast to help out with restoring power from hurricane damage there. The Kentucky Army National Guard has been mobilized, and I've seen them around helping ( Read more... )

Well, I had a learning experience this weekend - I learned how long cast iron actually takes to cool down. The answer: a really long time. Which, unfortunately, meant no shoe-shopping for me. So at my next opportunity (which will probably be this weekend) I will try again. And this time I need to go in search of another black skirt as well ( Read more... )
