I wasn't going to post, but it's the first time I've been on LJ in quite a few months and an old friend just happened to reappear on it and well, I did some reading, and eventually found myself on my own page

Oh yeah, and the date? Was totally a midnight showing of The Dark Crystal.

Honestly, that was the deal breaker. That and the general awkwardness. He was obviously of the "I am going to be a dude and hitchhike across the country and not ask my family for help and read On the Road" homeless type too - which is particularly grating. Like my arch enemy who until recently, worked at the Urban Rest Stop (a shower and bathroom for homeless folks) and never bathed, because he was "punk." I think his stepfather is a hedge fund manager or something.

The Canadian hobo shows up later and doesn't look like a fetus at all. You just know how to pick the winners. And yeah, you can't get too weird in fiction or people accuse you of being "unbelievable".
