dudeman! there's a new crazy way to lose weight...they actually sell a shot of some hormone that tricks your body into feeling full before you've eaten, and it's advertised as a great new way to drop the pounds. so hey, developping anorexia must be the hot new thing. i dunno, i just think it's stupid. like they got the hormone from buffet chinese

Because it makes people think it's ok to take the easy way out. Don't read the book, watch the movie. DOn't go to the park, pop some X, don't work out and go to the gym, take this shot. Don't work hard up the corporate ladder, fuck your way up.

Etc. etc. etc.

That notion is already engrained to deeply in our minds to do anything about it, but it definitely shouldn't be encouraged via products like that. Not to mention it's like you said, a surefire way to develop a dangerous and possibly deadly eating disorder, not to mention countless psychological problems.

it's all about america's non-stop search for convenience. Aka the desire to never really work again, but have something do all the hard stuff for us. It can be traced back to slavery, i say...

I mean sure, it could be argued that maybe for the morbidly obese it could help...but it still doesnt help the psycological reason that they became morbidly obese in the first place. And then you've got people who are only slightly overweight who suddenly say "look now i can lose those extra 10 pounds" and end up losing way too much and never wanting to eat again.

We're going to build a society that is incredibly mal-nurished...because it didnt say anything about that shot containing our necessary vitamins and minerals...
