my dad did the same thing to me. we never went on fun vacations when i was a kid; it was always to go see family. when my parents got divorced, my dad took his girlfriend (the one he was dating while married to my mom), her son, and her son's girlfriend to disney world. he didn't even ask me if i would like to join them. to this day, it still pisses me off (even more so cuz i've STILL never been to disney world!)
