Me: Because they're comfortable. They're pajama pants.

Andy: You should not buy these pants.

Me: Why not?

Andy: Because they make you look fat. Wide. You are only a little fat, but they make you look fatter.

Me: Gee, thanks Andy.

Andy: You're welcome...

This is mostly an issue with just cultural differences.

Compared to a mal-nourished / anorexic Chinese girl, I am heavier. I'm also healthier and could snap most of them in half by looking at them too hard.

This is also an instance of Andy not knowing what is proper and not proper to say. He asked my friend Liss if she was pregnant and told her she's a bit fat too. The girl is maybe 5'6" and 100 pounds if that.

I don't take him seriously, I just want to beat him a up a bit sometimes...
